| Anyone know where to get TV Risers for CRT? |

Would love to raise my CRT about 4 or 5 inches or so. But I'm looking for a riser that can support a 27 inch Sony CRT, which weights a lot. So not the ones that are for the little monitors. |

I would go to lumber yard and buy few lenghts of 2*4 (maybe 3) and piece of plywood and build nice raiser myself. |

Use 3/4" plywood, and be sure to brace the middle of it as well with the 2x4's. I'm using 2/4's and some plywood now that my rackmount servers are sitting on, so yes, it would definitely hold a CRT (rackmount servers are about 30-40 pounds each, I have two). |

I'm just wondering how much the plywood weighs, because that would add even more weight to the stand. And how do you brace it with 2x4s in the middle? If anyone has a pic that would be great. I know this shouldn't be hard, just never attempted this before. |
