Still hate that he's using the Jaguar tooling, but it's still a cool project.

Curious why.

I guess I would prefer to see an original design, but I would also rather see the Jaguar tooling used for something like this over a dental camera.  It's just a shame that the exact tooing required to make replica Jaguar shells no longer exists.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

So is this system going to be HD or SD? And do you think it's going to last? I wouldn't mind picking one up, will it be in Gamestop by any chance? I mean if I'm getting SNES graphics I don't see the point when I have SNES and NES, but if they are gonna put games on it like Shovel Knight, then that is cool by all means.

Well, this thing is still happening and has a few games behind it now. Including PierSolar. Their KickStarter is planned for soon so be on the look out.

Don't think there's anything wrong with Retro VGS, but you know come to think about it there are retro based games coming out like Mighty No 9 and Ritual of the Night. And I know that the Mighty no 9 physical copies will be in retail stores for 29.99 on Sept 17th.

Anyways, will this system be HD based?

Looks like it will use analog NTSC and HDMI because the FAQ says "Those unable to use analog NTSC video (typically in regions outside North America or Japan) should use the digital video output via the HDMI connector".

Anyone with modern flatscreen is OK as if there for some reason is no HDMI, they understand all analog formats.

Because it's ugly as hell, it's not unique, and it's the carcass of a console which failed miserably.

I think it looks sleek. Commercial success isn't the sole criterion of great products. The Jaguar had a small but solid library and the controller is fantastic.
