New Cartridge based Video Games System

I totally support this:

I wrote the guy and told him to have Cover Project members design the boxes and covers. I also suggested that they use cases the same size and UGC.

I'd totally be up for helping on that project.

I've been following this for a while as well.  This is the same group that bought the Atari Jaguar molds a while back and had a one time offer to purchase clear Atari Jaguar shellls in along wiht clear game cart shells.  I shared the link here on this site, but by the time I found out about it, it was already too late to order one.  I contacted the sellers directly about any leftovers.  They responded and said they would offer me one if it was available, but I never heard back, so I assumed they were gone.

Sounds kind of too good to be true. I really hope they stick to physical releases for all their games. Can't believe though big name companies will invest in retro stuff. They have other stuff on their agendas. It would be REALLY cool to have games like Shovel Knight or Axiom Verge on that console on a real cartridge with a UGC or other box and a real manual. Wow I'd back that shit any second the start it!
Jeff:
I'll back it if it's an open system. Like others have said, I doubt a lot of big companies will develop for this thing. And there's a reason that a lot of retro indie titles are download only: it's too expensive to have a physical release. I think a niche system like this needs a strong homebrew scene right out of the box, otherwise the software library will be extremely small.
