HAHAHAHA!
nope, none at all.
THAT'S a lived in and used room by the looks of it. (mine's not far like it, apart from that pair of slabs cornered together, could crush some sod.

)
i'm split:
1, in a hose shared with family, i see you dilemma.
just, organize it better, use what you have already, then get more furniture as and when required.
fix the tops of the tall shit to the wall, properly. (if masonry/brick, bore no more than an inch and a half, 4mm hammer bit and drill. if the wall id covered by any layers, such as cladding or plaster render with wallpaper, take that depth into account and add it to the hole depth in total.)
2, if the wall is a partition thing, youtube can help with tips there, way too many types of dry wall, cavities and constructions, and variable methods to fortify them.
3, if you don't, or you have that shit locked down, no issues.
i see no reason to do anything, unless it's a hazard to life and limb.

(it's just me, but dedicated places are like workshops, serious fuckin business, and it's far from about the ambiance.)
...
nope, not an interior decorator, so i can't offer any design tips, just lock it down, secure all tall standing shelves to the wall.
