Good games for the original wii?

That's a solid collection. I have quite a few of those in my collection as well. The Neo-Geo compilations for the Wii are really good (just can't understand why Metal Slug Anthology doesn't support the classic controller).
It bothers me when people write off the Wii as just a "casual" system, or a system for soccer moms & old people. While there is certainly more shovelware on Wii than anywhere else, there's a LOT of great games to be found.

I feel that this will be the fate of the Wii U.

Wii was underpowered shovelware console... WiiU is better but still lacks games, but many are on the way so hope is not lost.
PS4 and XBOne... worst.

I think people write Wii off as a casual system because it was geared to attract non-gamers and sold a lot of systems as a result of that.
It's true, there are a lot of shovelware games, but there are also many hidden gems as well. There are lots of great games I'm missing from my collection and it's not necessarily all bad that the Wii isn't appreciated more. It helps keep prices down..
The fact is that the Wii U is also underpowered and I don't see it escaping a similar fate to the Wii. It's the kiddy system, with inferior graphics and less mature games. I still love it, but this is how it's perceived. I think in years to come the Wii and the Wii U will be appreciated more, but for Nintendo to change their image they need more powerful hardware and a better, more modern online system. Not allowing people to communicate with each other online doesn't make sense to me. It can't be too hard to add parental options for this.
