Some Goodwill pickups.

I also picked up a ColecoVision off of Craigslist.  It needs a good cleaning, but it also came with a few games:
  Donkey Kong (2 copies)
  Subroc
  Smurf
  Baseball
  Venture
  Roc'n Rope
  one mystery game

For years I've been passively looking for a nice and clean SNES At a decent price.  But all I could find is either one that was already completely yellow, overpriced,  or both.  But the other day browsing goodwill I came upon this!

It was everything in the picture including the av cable and power cable...super clean with just a thin layer of dust on top and very minor yellowing on the controller ports...the inside of the system was just as clean...barely any dirt.

It ended up being $40 which was a bit more then I was looking to spend that day but I figured I wouldn't get another chance like this...especially since some guy saw it before me but he "refused to pay retail on it".

I can't say I'll go hard on collecting games...maybe 1 or 2 of my absolute favorites but will be saving up for an ever drive or something down the road.

I would say you should be happy with $40 for a clean SNES with three controllers and all of the cables.  In my area, these tend to run around $70 to $80 for a system and ONE controller.

It's the first time I see one with an embossed EJECT text instead of painted.
Perhaps this is a later model and they fixed the yellowing issues at that point?

Anyways, very nice pick up. I too would have to pay almost double for the same bundle.

Not a gaming related pick up but I'm finally buying a new car tomorrow for a pretty good deal. More boot space too for huge pick ups haha just kidding. But over the moon!

Don't get me wrong, around here they go for the same but I went in expecting to walk out empty handed lol.  I almost always go in hoping to find a decent book/movie/or game for cheap so I already set my expectations for like $5-10 bucks being spent.

But I think an old gamer turned his stuff over or a very upset family member/significant other because there was also a complete sega genesis, dreamcast, wii, gamecube w/ wavebird controller and a couple snes and genesis games.  I almost bought the gc also lol just for the controller.

Actually it's the older model if I recall correctly. I've have/had a couple of them.

I've got a few games for SNES that I've got duplicates of if you're interested, I can PM you the titles later beings am at work now, but I do know I have a super game boy,  super mario world and the lion king off hand.

Finally got my copy in!

Got a bunch of other stuff but don't have it here for pictures.

I received a package today, so I'm pretty sure mine is in as well, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

And a few empty cases.

Is that copy of fade to black incomplete? The copy I have is in a double cd thick jewel case.

Good catch.  I took it apart, and sure enough, there were two inserts for a double CD case.  Plus I have one disc and the manual.  So the question is, am I missing anything other than an actual double CD jewel case? (which I have plenty of extras)

Good to know.  I'm kind of curious about the double CD jewel case though.  Normally when a game is only one disc, but comes in a two disc case, it's because it either had a demo disc with it (think Resident Evil Director's Cut) or it had a manual so large it wouldn't fit into a normal jewel case (think Gran Turismo).  But I can't figure out the reasoning for Fade to Black.  The insert says 1 disc, so no demo disc, but the manual isn't that large either.  Are you sure there wasn't a second insert that I'm missing?

By the way, I've already transferred it into a proper double CD jewel case.
