Here is my Genesis. I ordered a Model 1 AV cable and it did not fit. Which type do I look for?

Was the cable too big or too small?  Model 1s and 2s are different sized cables, and sometimes people don't realize this when they sell them.  Model 1 is bigger, like the size of a dime or a nickel, while the model 2 cable is about half that size.

It looks like from your pictures that you do have a Model 1 Genesis, so if you have a model 1 cable it should fit. Can you send a picture of the cable?

I don't even see what these 2 have to do with each other. No way they fit.

Looks like you have the correct cable. Maybe something is wrong with the port on the console.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to put it just left of the adapter?

I hate to state obvious stuff, but it will only fit in a certain way - meaning you have to line the pins up just right, with certain ones on top and bottom.
And yes, it goes in that tire spoke looking hole.

And it will not FIT, as in the cable isnt the right size, or the cable will not plug in, insinuating the plugs/holes don't align?

Take a picture where we can see the socket and plug in one picture.

I mean like your first picture but with the plug in the same picture pins facing towards us.

It is, but the non-rgb cable doesn't have all pins.

I think it needs only 5: Video+, Video-, Left Audio+. Right Audio+ and Audio-

Looks right cable.

Try turning the cable as you put it ion.
It will only fit in one precise orientation.
