Hyrule warriors.

Really?!

This would be the reason to aboid the Wuu IMO. Soooooo many better games for this system.

I'm actually playing through the game right now, and I find it quite fun. Sure, it's not high art -- it's somewhat repetitive and a button masher -- but it's full of action that's satisfying/entertaining. Better games on the system? Certainly. A reason to avoid the Wii U? Hell no!

I don't own any of the current gen systems yet, but I want to buy a Wii U before the PS4 or XBox One.  There are over a dozen games that I want to play and all of them are exclusive to the Wii U.  It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that each game is a first party Nintendo game.  That could be a problem for Nintendo in the long run, but as long as they keep turning out good first party games, I can live with it.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I think the Wii U is so far the best of the next gen TV systems (With the 3DS being the best overall) which is kinda sad.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Wii U, it's a nice little system at a good price point with tons of games worth playing, the Game Pad is a cool idea, though not often used to it's potential, and it falls under a N64 type category for me, not a huge library, but well worth it for what it has.

I say that this is sad because the other 2 systems have very little going for them. I have been looking into getting ether a PS4 or Xbone, but there is almost nothing on each system.
Ever sense Black Friday, I have been looking at top 25 lists for games on each system, and all they have are multiplatform games, remakes of games from last gen, sport games (?), generic shooter sequel, random indie game, and 1-3 average grade exclusive. This console generation is abysmal, and Nintendo is the only one doing anything worth while. It the PS Vita even still a thing? I legitimately have not heard anything from it for months. I don't remember the 360/Wii/PS3 or PS2/NGC/Xbox battles bring this boring.

The saddest thing is the only thing that got me to say "OH! I need a PS4!" is Rockband 4, because my instruments and DLC form the PS3 will transfer over.  :(

I have a Wii-u but it's in storage and i haven't played it very much.
I like the fact that i can play wii games too. I never owned  a Nintendo product after N64. I was pissed that they took so long to make DK64. I stopped buying Nintendo. I love the DKC series by Rare and felt that we were short-changed over Jet Force Gemini, Conker and Banjo-Kazooie. I discovered Twisted Metal and played PS ever since.

I saw the Wii-u but US commercials always made wii seem like a You Must Get Up and Move Around console that has no support for standard gamepad games. Honestly, I always thought that wii/wii-u was merely a motion detection system. Nintendo has the most uneducated marketing department on the planet. l0s3rs. When they gonna get the boot out?

The main thing about wii-u, IMO, is the awesome gamepad. I have yet to see it put to good use but i'm sure that it will be utilized in the coming years.

Overall, i like the Wii-U. Now the tables have turned. I've stopped buying PS. Lots of Wii games to buy in addition to Wii-U titles. AND wii-u games are reasonably priced. I like it. I recommend the system to anyone that likes to play video games.

However, BE CAREFUL when upgrading the system or you'll Brick it  :o

Hyrule Warriors was the reason for my purchase, Bayonetta 2 was just a bonus. Now I'm waiting for Mario Maker chiefly, and seeing what else I can spare pennies for (between my NES purchases and arcade habit) in the meantime.

As has been said, the games are just straight up fun. Nintendo systems have focused on that for a while. They don't give much attention to the fps/sports games that has for some reason defined the term "hardcore gamer" since late ps2 era, but I personally am okay with that and I think a lot of other people are too
Attempting a complete NTSC-U NES set.  Sell me your games!

If that's the definition of a hard core gamer, then I'm more than happy to be a casual gamer.  ::)

What makes that Wii U system worth buying as there very few exclusive games that have been released for this system?

You could ask the very same question for both the PS4 or XBOX One.

Nice troll.

Well, I love my ps4, other than mario kart my launch wii-u has had virtually no play time whatsoever. (I do want Lego City undercover though - it just refuses to drop in price).  Although I have a number of games still in wrappers for both.

And not a single fps game in my ps4 library.

I think the wii-u is a great piece of hardware, just not been much to get me excited.

@Sheep What are some good games on the PS4?

Well for me, off the top of my head, and ignoring any re masters/re-releases - watchdogs, infamous first light and second son, need for speed, retro city rampage dx, the crew, child of light......

That's not to mention the stack of indies (usually a couple free every month with ps plus) - counter spy, aces of the luftwafher, stick it to the man, resogun......

I've got a pretty hefty backlog too, as I don't actually play too much.  'The order' got slated for being too short, but also heralded for being the best looking game on any system to date.  I hear good things about it from those that actually played it.  'The last of us remastered', never really played on PS3, and everything I heard about it is positive.  Quite a few others too.

Oh, just realised I lied about no fps games.  I have alien isolation, but that's still got its wrapper on too. Lol
