Wii U system: Why is it worth buying one?
kzbolin:
Agreed

NO newer system is worth buying right away unless it has games you want to play RIGHT NOW, or if you can get an insanely good deal on the console. (For me, Infamous on PS4 and I got an XboxOne for $180 brand new)
As far as the Wii-U goes, I love Zelda stuff so I felt the need to buy the WindWaker Wii-U.
If you have a feriend/family thet works for Wal-MArt, ask them to help you out. They get a 10% Discount. My sister used her christmas discount to help me get my ps4 and a ps3 for my dad (20% off entire purchase)
Research the games, try to put a face value on how much you want to spend on each game and if its worth the price of the system to play them right now.

I have a friends who's kids was only playing Lego games on Xbox one, but since Mario Party 10 came out, he abandoned all these and they are having a blast playing MP10 together. Combined with a built in amiibo system with legendary characters, I believe we can add this game to reason of why it's worth buying a Wii U.
If only there was a trophy system and slightly better hardware, the console would be more attractive for both players and game editors.
Dravenae:
In my opinion, there's nothing that currently makes the Wii U worth buying. Xenoblade and Metroid are the two games that I should have waited for. After two years, I have 5 games for the system and I have little interest in the endless Mario rehashes, including the spin-off games (Super Smash Bros/Mario Kart). After Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, I'm not holding my breath for Zelda U being awesome, but I will be picking it up. I'm a Zelda fan, so I'll be there day 1, through the good and the bad.
Doom:
Play Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. I wasn't impressed with either of them, despite liking other games in those franchises.
Some Nintendo lovers I know would probably be into the Wii U. For most people it's probably not worth it.
I loved Pikmin 3 and I'll probably love Bayonetta 2 and Mario 3D World but Smash Bros. and Mario Kart could have been better.
