I was moving stuff around and all of a sudden the Sega Saturn's AV out doesn't fit anymore. No matter how much I try to wiggle it, it just
won't fit in. Do I need a new console or just a new cable?

Are you sure it the right cable?

Yea I'm sure because it fit a few minutes before the problem happened. I don't know why Saturn made the AV out cable so complicated.

Were the cable's metal parts bend somehow, if yes can you carefully bend them back.

Hmm, I think they were actually. But they are so small, it's hard to even see them.

It's just a standard DIN cable, grab a pair of tweezers or a tooth pick and push the pins back into place.

Sure you're not trying to use a genesis 2/3 cable?  I've seen that mistake happen about a zillion times. It shouldn't be all that difficult to get it installed.

Thanks, I was trying that but it just won't work. As soon as I try to put it in, they get bent again. I ordered another Saturn AV out cable. Hope it works, if not I guess I need to buy a new Saturn.

I'm guessing a bent pin

You think there's any chance it's not the Cable, but the place where you insert the cable?

I hope you're right. Would hate to shell out more money for another Saturn but will if it's my only option.

As far as the socket, hard to even see the holes that the pins are supposed to go in. Tbh, I always felt it was wobbly even when it was fitting. A very strange arrangement in my opinion.
