I am planning to buy Super Bomberman 4 listed in the link below:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPER-BOMBERMAN-4-SUPER-NINTENDO-SNES-RARE-NTSC-VERSION-/171731545432?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27fbff6d58

I am wondering do we have a horizontal cover for this game. If no, I think I will not get this game. Thanks.

Dude, as far as Im concerned.......the game only came out in Japan.

In PAL and NTSC-U territories, they stopped at 3, so that is a repro cart that might have been made to look a little distressed to give the impression that is actually an official release.

Can someone verify whether 4 came out in the US? as I am 99% sure it was Japan only and a quick googling says the same........it would obviously answer why there is no horizontal retail cover for it as well.  ;D

Up to you though man, just wasnt sure you were into repro's.

Actually, I am 100% sure its a repro now!!!

Look at the label........not only is the image from the SFC version (which would not be the case as all western releases of Bomberman games had different art) but it even has Japanese text above the game logo!!! which obviously would DEFINITELY not be on an official western release.

Correct 4 and 5 were only released in Japan, as were 2 spin-offs.
IIRC other was pyou-poyou type game, other somesort of bowling.

I wonder is that the JAP cart guts in US shell, or is it real englisified repro.

Good spot Sheep, that would be the final nail in the coffin if it needed one.

I asked the seller of it was a genuine cart.  He said as far as he knows it is, but it works really well. Lol
