Hello Fellow Gamers,

So... Long story short, my Mother recently lost her job.  It was no fault of her own.  The insurance agency where she worked was sold without notice and the new owners decided to let ten of the twelve employees go, my Mother being one of them, despite the fact that she was there for ten years and was pretty much the entire commercial lines department.  One day, she and the other employees were told that it would be a near seamless transition and there would be a place for everyone.  Three days later my Mom and nine others were told that they were not needed after that week.  Being that my Father is on disability and I have issues that prevent me from working outside the home, Mom was the main income earner for our household.  We're not completely destitute (at least not yet) and no matter what happens, I know we'll be okay somehow, but we were already at the point of living paycheck to paycheck and putting things like insurance premiums and property taxes on credit cards.  So, needless to say, it's getting pretty scary knowing that there isn't a paycheck coming twice a month like there was before.  I'm certain she'll find a new job at some point, but how long that may take is a crap-shoot given her age, our area, and salary needs.  And thus, even though it pains me a great deal to do so, it has come time to once again sell a bunch of stuff.

Asking prices are listed for each item.  I've tried my best to research typical sales value on everything, but with everything going on at home right now, I may have messed up a bit on some, so I'm happy to at least listen to any offers.

Prices do not include shipping.  I will happily ship anywhere in the world and will do so as cheap and effectively as I possibly can.  So, just send me a PM letting me know what you'd be interested in and where it needs to be sent and I'll get you a quote ASAP.

Paypal would be best for payment.  It's easy and allows me to get things out to buyers a lot quicker.  But, I can most likely work with just about any form of payment you might desire.

Unfortunately, I can not deal in trades for most things (are a few things I may consider a trade for).  Really only looking for a few things ('cause my Brother wants them and I'd like to give them as a gift later this year and it'd be nice not to have to spend money on them)...  NES system in good cosmetic shape (totally fine if it needs a new pin connector – don't need cables or controllers), SNES system in good shape, SNES controllers, & SNES AC adapter.

Also, to the forum moderators:  I know the majority of things listed here are not video game related.  I hope my posting this doesn't break the rules (just thought some folks on here would have similar interests and I'm honestly a bit desperate for the funds right now), but if it's not cool to post non-game things for sale, please go ahead and delete this thread.

FOR SALE

Vanark (complete) - $40

The Muppets GameBoy Games - $8 each
Each includes hard cartridge case & custom cassette box.  The Muppets (GBC) and The Muppets: On With The Show have custom vinyl labels.

SEGA Game Gear - $15 (may consider trade)
Might need a new screen (definitely needs a new screen lens).  I don't have any games to test with, but it does power up and I do know that it worked about a year ago.  I think there might be a dead pixel or two on the screen though (had two Game Gears and know one had some dead pixels, but don't remember if it was this one or the other one which was sold a while back).  Would be a great project system.

Tomb Raider Statue - $30
Includes original box (not pictured).  Approximately 9” Tall.

Gaming Surround Sound System - $25
Really awesome sound for retro game systems.  It's old school, so just standard audio hook-ups and not wireless, but it really does bring a great sound to classic systems.  I had my PS2, PSOne, and Genesis hooked up to it whenever I played them.

Not Pictured (because my camera is acting like an ass again)...

SEGA Genesis Console (model three) - $25
Works perfectly.

PlayStation 2 Game Case w/Memory card holders – Make Offer (definitely would trade)
About 25 case in good, very useable condition.  If someone has the ability to replace the clear artwork sleeve or knows how to clean them up really nice, I'd have about 20 more cases available as well.

How are you taking payment?  Paypal, cash, check?

I ask because I'm going to give you $8.  You pick whichever game of those Muppets games you like the most and keep it.  Don't sell it, I own it, you're just hanging onto it for me.. ;)

Thanks,
CLK

You know, I probably should have mentioned what kind of payment methods would work.  Thanks for point that out.

Paypal would be easiest and quickest all around, but I can work with pretty much whatever a buyer needs.

And THANK YOU for your offer.  I really appreciate it.  PM has been sent in reply.

May want to join the facebook group Funko Trading by PopVinyls.com for selling your POP's.
They require a picture and set price, but usually you can get more than you would on ebay (after fees).

Thanks for the tip.  Don't have a facebook account myself, but I'm sure I could find a family member who'd let me piggy-back on theirs for a bit.

LOL.  Yeah it is!  Love that GBA, would never sell it if the family didn't need the money.  And if it is sold, I'll definitely try and get a new one when we get back on our feet again.

Is alright.  I totally know the feeling of being strapped for funding.  I do appreciate the sentiment though.  :)

If Wiggy doesn't want the DS, I'd be interested in purchasing it. I'm also interested in a Genesis and would be willing to pay extra for some controllers and cables, I only have a single controller and can't find my cables so I'm using the ATGames reproduction genesis. :(

PM Sent :)

If I understand correctly, the new lit GBAs Wiggy produces have a frontlit screen, similar to what you'd find on a GBA SP, rather than a backlit screen.  Not sure what other differences there may be though.

Kinda depends on your personal preference I think.  IMO, the backlit is superior.  It's a good bit brighter and offers a little more clarity when playing in a dark area.  At least that's how I see it when compared to a frontlit GBA SP.  Front lighting is way better than no lighting, but back lights do seem to be a bit better than front lights.
