April 2015: What has someone's spring cleaning brought you
pringlesman:
There are few things I like more than picking up Nintendo Power Guide books.
Mostly games that I AM NEVER GOING TO PLAY. (If I'm playing Star Craft it's on the PC not 64)
The current shelf setup. I am out of UGC again. Looks like I'm going to have to order more.

I've been on a PS1 kick recently, so I picked up a mini PS One and some games I didn't already have. Paid about $30 for everything (not all at the same place). I used to play PS1 games on my PS2, but that's hooked up to my HDTV, and PS1 games look awful on it. My new PS1 is hooked up to my good gaming CRT.
I had a PS1 when it was new, but I never really got into Tekken back then. I'm enjoying them now though. The Ridge Racer series is still my favorite.

Awesome pickup. PS1 is probably my favorite system to collect for. Tekken 3 is one of my favorite fighting games ever. Ridge Racer is classic (although RR Revolution is slightly better). Jet Moto is awesome.
Also, I see that you picked up a dual analog (NOT dual shock). That is one of my favorite controllers of all time.
Now you just need a matching controller for that PSOne.

I'm really enjoying playing some games again, and some for the first time. I own all the Ridge Racers - Rage Racer has always been my favorite. The Ridge Racer Turbo Mode bonus disc that was included with RR4 is pretty cool too. I recently put in a cover request for DVD style covers for RR Revolution and Rage Racer - hopefully someone can put them together. I just realized that you provided the scans for RR Revolution. Thanks - hopefully they help.
I remember buying Tekken 3 when it first came out, but I'm not sure why I didn't get into it back then. I was always a Sega fan first and foremost - I only bought a Playstation during the period when Saturn was dead and Dreamcast was still a year away. Maybe I was just too used to Sega's fighters. I did play through Resident Evil 2 on my original PS1. I have a copy in my current collection that I plan on playing through again soon, although those giant spiders still creep me out even just thinking about it 17 years later.
I want to play some shooters as well. I hope to get Raiden Project, as the Raiden series has always appealed to me. Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford Einhander. Too bad - it looks pretty good. Strikers 1945 is another I hope I can find for a reasonable price.

Miracle Warriors is my first ever Sega Master System game - came with the manual, a foldout map, and even has the hangtab. Off to a good start, I'd say!
