mmmm ... dots are so delicious  :P

I find it difficult to play on certain streets.

pretty interesting idea. Great programming skills. I'll have to see if i can figure out what they've done. I've made a mock pac-man game before using various programming languages, such as,  qbasic, asp, c++ and javascript.

I've never thought about incrorporating the game into street maps. Google has some awesome employees. Good stuff.

I love Google's April Fools jokes.

Wish I was still playing WoW so I could see how many people fall for Blizzard's.  I still think their mock quest chain for opening Black Temple back in BC was the best.  So many steps, it felt like the natural progression of the AQ40 opening quest chain... except for things like "Beat the final boss of every Heroic mode dungeon within a 15 minute time span" because certain servers just didn't have enough good players to physically do that.

This isn't a joke. It was created before April and is actually playable.
To be this good it takes AGES!

I get the distinction you're making, but it's still their "April fools day joke".  It's like the 8-bit map layer they came out with a year or two ago.  They debut it a day or so early (because time zones), keep it up for a couple weeks, then it gets shelved -- maaaaybe buried somewhere deep down, but not front-page maps like it is now.
