As far as I know I think in the beginning of the thread it was said that he has the cover in another format, and would "standardize" it.

Sometime an artist chooses to use the font used on the actual scan. However, It seems to me that most artist that work on vertical SNES covers use Arial.

I'd appreciate some tipps regarding "the right font", too.

I usually stick to "Arial" and "Arial Narrow" as otac0n94 wrote.
Additionally i increase/decrease the space between the letters.

Welcome back.

As for the font I use Arial black, or if there is really much text normal Arial.
And I prefer on using little bit drop shadow.

On Verticals it's not so strickt, so as long as the text is clear and does not look jaggedy it should be fine.
