As a few people had requested it, I have knocked up a template for the Fairchild Channel F. Currently doing them with a custom spine, in a TCP style, as the main requester likes it like this - would be easy enough to convert to retail spine afterwards. TDiRunner has provided scans for carts 1, 2, 3, 5, 9 and 12 out of a total of 26 (according to wikipedia) - if anyone has scans of the remaining carts, please link them. The Template will change as I do them, to accommodate the different styles they used on the fronts/backs with regards to how many icons/screenshots were used. Fairchild Channel F Videocart-3 As there is no Fairchild section on the site, i'll add them to my box.net as i complete them. Let me know what you think. |

Interesting posts from you and TDIRunner. I've never heard of this system before. I did some poking and peeking and found an index for reference: http://fndcollectables.com/Fairchild/ seems as though SABA VideoPlay is a European version, especially German? http://fndcollectables.com/Fairchild/Saba/ I'll keep my eyes open for some boxes ... |

This is awesome!!! ;D It's a very unique system. Everything is hardwired. The power cable, RF cable and both controllers are all permanently attached. The joysticks don't have buttons in the traditional sense. The joysticks move around like you would expect, but you can also push the stick in or pull it out for two additional "buttons." You can also twist the joystick in either direction for two more "buttons." It's actually not a terrible design. I always figured it would be difficult to find anyone willing to put some time into these, so I'm pretty excited to get these cased up. I've already printed out two. |
