I think that a lot of people are taking the movie too seriously. It's just a dumb comedy, and I mean that as a genre not as a slight. Some of my favorite movies are dumb comedies like Zoolander, Beerfest, and Grandma's Boy.I'm fairly certain Pixels will be terrible, but not without some good moments. I don't care who you are, you can't tell me that Pac-Man scene isn't funny.
