So, after first dropping hints (and a pretty far along WIP) over 3 years ago, 1 HDD failure and a toddler* later I’ve finally finished my Unified Template for CD Poly Cases and DS/3DS (and ShadowFox’s GB/GBA) case. My initial goal was create a template that would span across several consoles (PS1/PS2/PS3//NGC/Wii) as well as handhelds (GB/GBC/GBA/NDS), giving a uniform layout and design regardless of console while still having unique elements for each. Oh and also to try and preserve some ink :D. I think it does that. Since new consoles/handhelds have been added since I first had the idea for the project I’ve included some additional ones to the mix (PS4/PSVita/WiiU/N3DS/Xbox/X360/XOne).
*no idea how Wiggy is as productive as he is with a little one running around

With that out the way here are the templates….
Sony PlayStation (PS1)

Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2)

Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3)

Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4)

Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP)

Sony PlayStation Vita (PSVita)

Nintendo Gamecube

Nintendo Gamecube (No N Circle))

Nintendo Wii

Nintendo Wii (No N Circle)

Nintendo WiiU

Nintendo WiiU (No N Circle)

Microsoft Xbox

Note: XBOX Logo on front/back were correctly centered, just didn’t go back and re-do the preview image.

Microsoft Xbox 360

Note: XBOX Logo on front/back were correctly centered, just didn’t go back and re-do the preview image.

Microsoft Xbox One

Note: XBOX Logo on front/back were correctly centered, just didn’t go back and re-do the preview image.

For the Nintendo ones, still a bit undecided on the circular N logo, I originally hadn’t included anything there for them, and it wasn’t until doing the handhelds that I realized the Nintendo platforms were the only ones that didn’t have a unifying icon on all of them and they really needed one on the handhelds.

Also speaking of handhelds does anyone have settings they use for imandix and ds cases? I couldn’t find anything that I liked the results with, so for now here’s a shot of the front platform logos:

For most of my covers, the back art is actually going to be a single image/icon related to the game, and most fronts will simply be the game’s logo – however others will use full art (similar to a lot Wiggy’s  cover.

Example (of at least the most of my covers will be) in the form of still an unfinished MGS series:

Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeros (PS3)

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeros (PS4)

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain (PS3)

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain (PS4)

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection)

Spine Shot:

Thoughts/Comments appreciated. Download links coming shortly, cleaning up some layer names in the .PSD's and trying to figure out if I want to break them out more than I have right now (1 for the CD Poly cases, 1 for the DS case and 1 for the 3DS case)

Nice work! Not really my type of case ( I'm more of a DVD case kind of guy, myself), but the uniformity is really quite good.

However, I must mention that a lot of these cases wouldn't be able to fit the original manuals. Not a huge issue for a disk-only collection, but the manuals are extremely common with the more modern games.

Space is at an ultimate premium in our household, so in order to maximize the number of titles displayed I'm alright with going to the smaller format. I keep all of my manuals in a small Sterilite box in a drawer (though I feel more and more newer games aren't coming with one)

Which font in particular? Used quite a few on these - though most of the console names aren't actually fonts.

Did you make a template available or is this entirely just for show?

Also, didn't know square-enix made all those metal gear games.
