Okay well I have about 38 Genesis games, 27 N64, and around 80 NES games that I would like to case (thanks to everyone on this site!)

But, I've seen that you have to mod the UGC to fit NES games.

I dug up this thread: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=1044.0

Although I want a little more information if possible.

Is there any easier/quicker way to mod the case to fit NES games in it?  Can they sit on top of the inside of the case like you can do with Gameboy games in DS cases?

Thanks everyone!

No, the UGCs require you to cut out a couple "chunks" out of it. They are too thick to just set them on top.

I'd rather say it feels like ten minutes but I'd say 5 minutes per case..... I always do my NES modding with the soldering iron and when you're into it it goes pretty smooth....

I'd start sooner rather than later, modding the cases is a nightmare for me.  It's not that it's that difficult, it's just very time consuming and the whole time I feel like the soldering iron is going to fly off and hit me somewhere (once you've been burned by these things you never forget).  I have yet to find a rhythm while doing this and w/other tedious projects I tend to watch tv or listen to music, but this one for some reason makes me quite nervous (I also hate using the soldering iron).  I also question (even with proper ventilation) how safe this is since burning plastic (and low quality china plastic at that) seems extremely hazardous.  It should also be noted that the cold heat soldering iron won't work for this project.  I think I'm going to switch over to trying to cut these things out myself....
