I haven't played Shovel Knight, I can only assume the game ends with you smashing into a wall at approximately a thousand miles an hour.  Interesting design choice.

I was really set on getting Shovel Knight for PS4 to get Kratos. But now I'm undecided since Xbone will have Battletoads.

When I first saw this topic, my immediate reaction was "*sigh* Another Amiibo topic"

But then I read this.  Awesome.  I, too, was going to get it on PS4.  but since I'm pretty 'meh' on Kratos and I LOVE the Battletoads, I can't wait for this to come out!

I'm really disappointed to see the 'toads on the Xbone :/ Guess it's a grim reminder that Microsoft has Rare... *shudder*

Unless it gets a physical release I'm not getting it. With Sony's self publishing, it is far more likely the PS4 will get a physical release compared to the other consoles. I would prefer to get a disc based version on the WiiU though.

Regardless having the Battletoads in there was a smart idea.

It really was. Unfortunate that they have a death grip on so many franchises, but it should be pretty sweet. Not that I'll be playing it, but oh well.

Both Shovel Knight and BT were awesome.  Of course I don't have an XBO and won't be buying one simply for that.  Nice try Microsoft.
