| Pit of 100 Trials |

Just need to vent real quick. I'm playing through Super Paper Mario for the first time. I really enjoying the game. I just tried the Pit of 100 Trials for the first time and made to level 100. I understand how to beat the boss, but I just didn't have enough health and with about 2 or 3 hits remaining, I died. If you know the game, there is no saving once you start the pit. Any and everything that happens during the pit is lost if you do not finish. You have an option to leave after every 10th trial, but if you do, you loose your progress and have to start over from the first if you wish to do it again. I spent a good portion of my evening going through those trials just to die at the last possible second. I'm pissed. That is all. |

Years back, I was playing Dead Rising on Xbox 360 and going for the last 20 point achievement I needed to max out all 1000 achievement points in the game. The achievement was 7 day survivor. 2 hours represent one day in Dead Rising, and to unlock this achievement you must survive in the Dead Rising game world for 7 game days/14 real time hours with no pausing or breaks allowed. On my first attempt, I was over 13 hours into the achievement and Carlito started sniping me while I got caught in a huge mob of zombies and I died. It's fair to say I had a little temper tantrum. Then I tried again and 7 hours into my 2nd attempt the Xbox glitched and froze, preventing me from completing the achievement. I finally got it on my 3rd try and towards the end the TV screen was turning a weird color and the Xbox sounded like it was hyperventilating. Luckily, I made it. I spent 34 hours of my life to earn a 20 point "achievement". It was pathetic. |
