Fixing Atari 5200 Controllers

My understanding is that Best Electronics http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/ has a fix for the faulty Atari 5200 controllers. Has anyone tried this yet? If so, how were the results? If not, what other methods has anyone tried? I would prefer to stick with the OEM controllers with replacement parts rather then getting third party controllers. I have five controllers total, but three of them are faulty. I've bought from Best Electronics in the past for Jaguar stuff, and I was pretty happy with their service. I just thought I would check to see if anyone else has tried this before I order anything.

A real easy to fix 5200 controllers is to clean the button contacts on the flex circuit with an eraser, and add self-adhesive copper tape on the rubber button contacts. I fixed mine like this a few years back and they're still working fine.

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into that. Where you able to find self-adhesive copper tape in a local hardware store, or did you have to order it online?
