There is nothing wrong with using a knife, straight edge, and cutting board, but I've found using the paper cutter I listed above to be much faster without sacrificing precision.  For me that's important because I've done as many as 40 covers in one night.  I won't always be doing that many, but right now I have a lot of covers to print out. ;)

Why? Because you are selling it?

No, because I have a lot of games.  I printed out over 700 covers for my own personal collection in 2015 alone.

***EDIT***  And since my comment above was written in February of 2015, at the time I still had a long way to go.

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/X-Acto-Guillotine-Plastic-Capacity-26232/dp/B0010YQBJ4

ELMERS X-Acto 12" Base Guillotine Style Plastic Paper Trimmer, 10 Sheet Capacity, Black (26232)

Cut can't be more straight and clean, but watch out if you are not aligned properly!

I'm not offended by any means. Don't know about TDI though lol.

I believe I've actually been rude to you before too about all the "offended" stuff. I'm just not one to be offended easily but it kind of makes me mad how "brittle" people act nowadays acting like they should feel content all the time.

Another thing that really pisses me off is stupid people. Just sayin.

That's the same thing I use.  Works pretty danged well.  Tried one of those slide cutters TDIRunner suggested before too, but didn't have much success.  Of course, I think that was largely because the blade was a different, not nearly as effective, style.  Guess that's what I get for buying the cheaper version.  LOL.

*snip*
it would depend on the paper/card thickness, the pressure exerted to make the cut, etc...
and if the blade is a good fine steel, with a degree of flexibility, more cuts before change.  :P
...
i use an SA-80, and a 50/100-tEV capacity particle accelerator, and that's just for the bogroll.  ;D ::)
nahh!
but seriously, just a set square, and a carpet/box knife.
have two versions:
1, the double-sided blade in a die-cast iron grip (replaceable) made by stanley tools.
2, a disposable knife, where the blade is a stacked thing (ten blade segments) can be broken off a blade segment at a time, similar cuts to the stanley made knife, but i do prefer a nice pair of baps...the latter.  :P

It will say on the packet.  It's like asking, when you buy cookies, how many are in the pack.  There are many different packs, and deals and offers.

But I mean it - you should not own a knife.
