New/Sealed Zelda 25th Anniversary / OoT 3DS Bundle's go for $400+
New/Sealed WW WiiU Bundle's go for 400+
New/Sealed ALBW 3DSXL Bundle's go for 250+

(Can find exceptions on all of them, but in general they're going for above that price).

Zelda LE's usually increase in value, don't see the MM N3DSXL coming down much, unless a 2nd wave is made available in the US.

You'll note I said "used" in my post.  If you're a collector who wants new a few years down the line, then you're stuck with whatever is out there.  But even though these "new" sets will be higher than retail, their market value does drop after the initial spike.  For example, the WW special edition w/ Ganondorf.  Shortly after release it was sold out everywhere and commanded almost $200 on eBay at some auctions.  Before this whole MM hype started you could find them for around $100 - $125.  Still more than the $60 retail price, yes,  but significantly cheaper than initial resale value.
Also...as I said before...WW WiiU and LBW3ds are still in stores, so if people pay that much for them online (unless you live in a remote area) that;s on them.

Also, keep this in mind...DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ZELDA ON EBAY OR ANYWHERE ELSE RIGHT NOW!  With the hype MM has gotten, prices are spiked EVERYWHERE.  Larry mentioned having to pay $50 for OoT on 3ds used...a game that went for $25 two months ago.  Let things calm down for a bit.

Then the next time some "rare" Uhmeebos come out or whatever they shovel on to us in "limited" quantities, people are chomping at the bit for it. Oldest marketing trick in the book. As long as they can keep on rolling out "limited" items, then the cash flow will continue to be FAR from limited.

Yes, there are some people who bought a Marth because he was rare, at the same time I know a ton of people who wanted the Skull Kid figure, or Little Mac and Villager Amiibos regardless of them being rare or limited. They got the hype going, but nothing to fill it other than scalpers. They would make FAR more money making more because they would sell more. Hype for Amiibos is not helping DK, Peach and Yoshi, who many stores are now putting on clearance. People want many of the characters because they want the character, hype may contribute but it only does so much when there are no more to sell.

Yes.  They will make more, albeit new, different characters. And you'll buy them. Nintendo knows what they're doing here. They aren't short-sighted or unaware of the popularity of these things.

Like I said, create demand by limiting supply, then continue to churn out new product within that line.

Simply "making more" does NOT guarantee more sales. On the other hand, constantly having new items for a product line which has proven to be very successful is a fairly surefire way to do so, and they seem to be churning out new characters with ease.

I'm not sure why some of you can't see how simple a marketing tactic this is and why it's so successful. If ALL of these silly things were available at every store, all of the time, then nobody would be having these discussions and how acquiring them is akin to stumbling upon the ark of the covenant.

Even the resellers help Nintendo's cause as they only further the idea that some of these are so rare and unobtainable, thus building all that much more hype/excitement/etc.

JoyRide's Luigi Mansion figure, from the early 2000s, also made a Mario Sunshine, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Zelda OOT and other gaming figures.

One of the rarest from the series, it ran me $180 for a NIB one. None are on eBay ATM, they pop up from time to time, a few have in the last 2 months for cheaper. Open ones tend to be missing parts.

That's really cool that you got one! I'll have to keep my eyes open for that!
