How long until I see my submission listed? It's a custom cover for Super Metroid. I just submitted it.

Also, whenever I post an image URL in the IMG tags it just shows an x in place of the image.

When one of us Cover Admins have time to check it, and if it meets hyper strict quality standarts.
And custom covers have less of a chance getting approved...
I'll check it bit latyer today if I have time and remember.

Might be that you need to refresh the page, and sometimes certain browsers have difficulty showing images.
But usually they eventually start showing.

Also not all image site allow direct linking.
Some need spesific option chosen.
But usually then nothing is shown.

Post the link here and I'll see.

As a follow up to your post Arseen,

If I wanted to start uploading the single-disc poly cases for Dreamcast/PS1 what are the guidelines on a new format being uploaded to the cover database? Because a lot of DVD case covers are already up for these games but I would like to see the single-disc cases up there too.

I chose: Share -> BBcode -> Medium 499 x 800.

Then just copied the code under it, deleting some stuff from the end, and posted it here.
No IGM tabs needed.

If that is the cover it will not make the site (on quick look):

- Too low quality front image. (On closer inspection this might not affect).
- Front image has copy right text on it.
- That red star thing looks horrible
- Screenshots are too low quality.
- Legal text has your legal info in it.
- SNS code missing.

Otherwise acceptable.

You are free to distribute it on the boards.
Just remember to add the name of the cover clearly so the board search function can find it.

That's low quality?
- Front image has copy right text on it.
I'll move it to the back.

Deleting.
- Screenshots are too low quality.
Really? I just stole them from Bing.
- Legal text has your legal info in it.
My name? I shouldn't put that?
- SNS code missing.
Is that the thing at the top right on the back (SNS P RI)?

Otherwise acceptable.

The share button on Flickr is in the bottom right, icon is the arrow. Clicking it will bring up a box. BBCode is an option on the right, clicking it will select it, and you can pick the size from the dropdown box. Then you can copy the generated code and paste it in a reply here without any additional formatting.

Source material needs to be 300DPI minimum, 600DPI preferred so the end result does not go under the required 300DPI.

Yep we have policy of not branding the covers added to our site with signatures.
So please remove the two if you want cover added to database.
This cover needs higher quality images before concideration of addition.
If you only share it on the boards, then feel free to leave the legal info.

Deleting.
Thank you.

Screenshots are never going to be 300dpi lol!  The resolution of the console wasn't anywhere near that, not to mention that screencaps are going to be 72 dpi no matter what. All you need are loss-free (gif or png) images scaled properly (nearest neighbor).

I can't believe no one noticed or pointed out that neither SNES nor Super Metroid are 32 bit. 32 meg possibly for the cartridge, but of course the SNES is a 16 bit system. Also, it said 32 bit not only in that star, but also in the back text.

Can I adjust DPI in Photoshop? I don't even know what DPI is. Dots per inch?

No BBCode. Just email and social networks.
