There is a CD sound track that goes into the Sega CD that supplements the audio.

I'm excited to get my copy.

I also snagged myself the OST, and Limited Edition Sacred Line Genesis.

I've been watching for this reprint for a while, and I'm excited it's finally shipping. I'm glad they also have the OST available; the cd quality audio via the Sega CD is a cool feature.

This new "BITS" distribution method seems like a pretty neat idea, too. I'm all for supporting indie developers of retro console games.

Hoping for some news on Project Y/Project N soon!

I usually jump on board, when ever I see a new classic console game released, but wouldnt it just be better to play this game on a pc.

I bought it since it helps show there is an interest of more games being made physical releases, and which will hopefully encourage more people to use Watermelon to release their titles physically. Also I love original hardware ^^

  • ...and that's the bottom line
I have the Genesis and Dreamcast version pre-ordered since February '13 :) I have downloaded Pier Solar HD on Xbox One so these versions are collectors items for me. I'll try them out just to see them run on the actual system but I'll probably play through the Xbox One version instead.

Pretty much this. I love to see things minted for old hardware.

Also, The genesis version is an extended version and according to sasha darko's post on sega16 the WM physical release is apparently limited to 500 copies.

"The updated version of the game (with final text overhaul from Melf and slightly different plot/new characters) is available now from Watermelon, limited to 500 copies" - sega16

"Sacred Line Genesis is a brand new Graphic Adventure game which was developed exclusively for Sega Mega Drive / Genesis console. It’s an extended version of the original Sacred Line game." - http://sashadarko.com/sacred-line-genesis/

So not only is it a cool visual novel, the genesis version is different, and pretty limited. Nice conversation piece for the collection. Hard to go wrong for the $39

Got my Sacred Line in yesterday....  when i started playing it the only word that comes to mind is.. DISTURBING!  i am not sure how i feel about it yet overall it is extremely different than anything i have normally played before but give me a lil while with it n see how it goes. Still cool to get a "new" genesis game after all these years regardless

Got my order the other day but haven't had a chance to play sacred line or Pier Solar yet.
I suddenly have to work a lot of overtime and all my free time I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor.

Is sacred line actually a bit disturbing? I expected it to be campy. Well now you're getting me excited =P

There is an issue in both the Pier Solar, and Sacred Line Genesis games. For Pier solar if your using a Model 1 non-TMSS system you need to press reset to get it to work.

Sacred Line Genesis has a similar issue but no fix.

The Dreamcast version is pretty much done. They got the production samples in and if all goes well they could be being shipped out by the end of june!
