I have the original Mega Drive Model. Is it normal to have lines run up and down the screen? Never noticed them before.

Those are the "Blast Processing" lines, so YES, they are supposed to be there.

...Nah, I'm messing with you.  No, those lines are not supposed to be there so...somewhere there is a problem.  Check your connection and try different games, if you get them with all, it may be your AV cable.  Other than that, it may be the mega drive having trouble with a steady output.  I suggest checking games and (if possible) cables.
Are you playing this on an HDTV?   Because that me be something, too

I second 'HDTV as source of the problem' - a Samsung HDTV I had a few years ago stuck a staticky looking line on the right side of the screen playing PS1 games. It was a weird issue that I've literally only had with that TV.

Re you using an RF cable or AV?

AV. But today there was no problem. I don't know why it was yesterday.

The 32X clears up the lines. That is the only reason I have one.

I'm a fan of the 32x because it's uncommon. Along with the master system converter and the model 1 Sega cd.

It's like a big ass transformer that takes 200 plug in slots.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

Maybe I would if I had some games for it. So far I got Vurtua Racing and Star Wars. That's It.  :D

I'm starting to like the Jaguar though.   :P

Space Harrier
After Burner
Tempo
Mortal Kombat II (not worth getting a 32x just for this, but a good port for sure)
NBA Jam TE (see MK II)
Doom (not the best port, but as cheap as it is, might as well add it to the collection)
And I don't think Night Trap is all that bad.  I was lucky enough to get it CIB for $20.
