Do you need batteries on Saturn in order for it to save? It's weird because when playing Assault Suit Leynos 2, it saved and I was able to play on Mission 2 even after turning it off. But then the day after, it disappeared. What happened?

Also have you played Assault Leynos 2? When you run out of ammo, how do u get more?

replace your CR-2032 coin battery in the back of the system. there should be a little bay door thingy.

There was just enough juice in your battery to keep the game saved for a few hours, but not over night. I had a similar situation with my gbc pokemon games.

Luckily the Saturn battery replacement is as simple as replacing the batteries in your remote.  Not all systems are so simple.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I just had to solder one in my dreamcast. I wish it had a door like the saturn.

But yeah sometimes when batterys are dead they will save for a few hours, but not be good the next day. same with car batteries, you may jump it and drive it to the store and when you come out it works, but the next morning ded.

Invest in a Saturn memory card if you're at all serious about playing Saturn games.  You can get an Action Replay, which has memory for game saves as well as 1MB & 4MB RAM upgrades for playing some games that require it.  They run around $30, or there's an official Sega memory card (but stay away from the "Interact" memory card - it's crap).
