I printed a lot of N64 covers for my universal game cases and I'm confused because all of the covers are bubbling up once I insert them, as though they are slightly too big. I definitely printed them at the correct size and I've measured many times. Does anyone else have this issue?

The UGCs seem to be at a different size now, the self-described "slim" UGC - the width inside the case that it takes is exactly 11" to cut down on paper cost for the consumer & manufacturing costs for the company.

To use the covers in these cases, set the dpi to 306 when you print your covers. This will downscale the image to 11" x 6.863", fixing the width issue.

Where are you finding this info?  ???

The only difference is that the sleeves are sometimes welded further in, leaving less room for an insert.  Just depends on who's manning the heat seal machine really, which is why it'll vary from batch-to-batch.

Have they increased the price again? Last time I ordered it was $59, it's now $69.

I ordered a month ago and it was $69 with $22 shipping.... Add that on top of the fact that I didn't realize they varied in size and i'm not the happiest customer.

edit: Not to mention a good 10-15 of the 100 I ordered were cracked or ripped...

They don't.  The sleeve is just affixed further inward.  Trim about 0.5-1.0mm from each edge and you'll be good to go ;)

And definitely go with the $3 extra box next time.  Before they added that option, nearly every carton I ordered had at least 5 busted cases.  They'll offer you a credit for each broken case, but won't replace them, which blows when shipping is about a 1/3 of the cost (which they will NOT credit).

I've ordered three cases of 100 over the past few years.  I've never paid the extra for the additional box, and I've never had a broken case.

However, that doesn't mean it isn't worth the extra money for the extra protection.  I just like bragging on how lucky I am. 8)

I had the extra wrapping box last time and I noticed that it's not worth it since the inner box was damaged prior to put it in the outer one!
Anyways, I won't be ordering any time soon... with the CAD-USD exchange rates, it would cost me an arm to get another batch.

I started scaling my images to 99% size and now they seem to fit much better in the universal game cases. Thanks for the advice guys. Just wish I had posted this sooner before printing so many :P

I can confirm this. I just got an order of 100 and I've been finding it difficult to put my covers in.
Trimming off a little of the paper works like a charm.

;D I know I haven't commented on this thread but I have been having the exact same issue with these UGCs.

And yes, my goal is to save you from this by the end of this year.  ;)
