I just bought Corpse Killer for the Sega CD 32X (the version where you need both the Sega CD and the 32X).  It came in a foldout cardboard case.  Did it ever come in one of those giant Sega CD jewel cases?  I'd like to keep all of those games the same and was looking to get one if possible.

I don't think so.  I have Corpse Killer 32x and Night Trap 32x, and they're both in cardboard long boxes.  Fahrenheit 32x has a plastic long box like the other Sega CD titles, but I THINK that's because Fahrenheit only came in a double pack, with both standard Fahrenheit and Fahrenheit 32x in the same box.  The spine's even half and half Sega CD Blue and 32x yelloworange.

I believe this is correct.

Okay.  Thanks for the info.  I'd like to keep all my Sega CD, 32X CD and Saturn games in the obnoxiously large jewel cases.  I do have an extra jewel case.  I've looked but haven't found any posted on this yet.  Does anyone know of a place on this site (or elsewhere) that does custom work for those jewel cases?  I don't want to put those games in DVD or CD cases.

Are you talking about the long box cases that were used for Sega Saturn games? Would you be able to scan your  Corpse Killer cover?

Yeah the same cases as the Sega Saturn used.  I could probably scan it tomorrow at work.  My printer at home does not have a scanner.

I've been interested in making Sega CD or Sega Saturn long box jewel cases covers for the games that weren't released in those styles.

For me the list would be the following:
  Jaguar XJ220
Sega Classics Arcade Collection (4-in-1) / Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective
  Sega Classics Arcade Collection (5-in-1)
  Sewer Shark
  Night Trap 32x

I have spare cases, and I even have enough jewel cases that are meant to hold two discs for the games listed above that would need it.  I have a template for the Sega CD, but I have not had time to work with it yet.  Plus my PhotoShop skils are still pretty limited.  Not sure if there are others out there who are also interested in this project to help make it happen.

Well I gave it a go.  There's some stretching on some of the front cover artwork which some folks here will probably want to kill me for  ;), but overall I'm happy with them.

@severcool,

If this is what you are looking for, I can make a similar cover for Corpse Killer for the 32x.  Again, my covers are not as professional as the ones hosted on the site, but if it works for you, I can gladly make one.

Those are nice man.

If you're up to it, I personally would love to see the Saturn pack-in titles (Virtua Fighter, Daytona, and... crap I forgot the third) made into longbox versions.  It's definitely not a high priority though, because I doubt I'll have them boxed up until such time as Shadowfox makes repro longboxes ;)

TDIRunner, yeah I'd love that.  I don't mind if covers aren't absolutely perfect.  I haven't gotten around to scanning the Corpse Killer cover yet.  I'll try to get to that tomorrow or Friday.  Thanks!

I haven't tried the Saturn games yet, but it shouldn't be too difficult.  I'm just not sure what the other one was either.  Let me know if someone comes up with it.

***EDIT***
If you are talking about the three games that came together, it looks like it's Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop and Daytona USA.

The scan isn't needed for what I'm doing.  I don't have enough PhotoShop skills to clean up raw scans.

I'm using the Sega Saturn jewel case template to get the outer dimensions correct (I never did find a Sega CD jewel case template)  Then I'm just taking the DVD cover for each game (the one hosted on this site) and transfering the back cover over to the template.  I resize it to fit the template.  This creates the back and right spine.  Then I just copy the spine over to the other side to make the left spine.  Next I transfer the front over to the template and resize it (this is where the stretching is more noticable).  Therefore, as long as the game has a DVD cover on this site, I can make it in jewel case format.

It wouldn't hurt to scan the box anyway since someone might want it down the road to make a cleaner cover.  However, I won't use it.

I'll try to knock out Corpse Killer tonight along with KalessinDB's requests.

***EDIT***
FYI.  Your Sega CD 32x manuals will NOT fit in your jewel cases.   :-\ You would think they would be the same size, but they are just slightly bigger then the regular Sega CD and Saturn manuals and will not fit in the jewel case.  That's why I had to make a front cover for Night Trap.
