I know I don't post on here as often as I'd like but life happens, and to be honest I haven't really gotten the chance to build the collection up or work on new box art (that being said I'll likely be working on some style of SNES cover art for some of my uncased carts).

I have changed the collection to a notable degree since I last posted (which was forever ago, sorry), so here's the collection as it currently stands.

Here's the console setup. I have since changed that setup a little bit to accomodate my PS1 and moved that 360 controller out to where the actual console is. The double-monitor setup to the left is for the PC where all of the editing / PC gaming happens.

The shelf setup. I sold a large chunk of my collection (basically all of the filler) to the local game shop so I could get some stuff that I would actually get enjoyment out of. Collector's Editions and merch are up top with the PS1 games / handhelds. Bottom shelf you guys can ignore; it's just movies and spare cases that have no purpose since I don't have anywhere else to put them at the moment.

Some close-up shots of the individual shelves so everyone can see some of the titles (and apparently the corner of my thumb). Sorry about the crap quality on these, was in a hurry and snapped a few quick shots. I'll have better quality photos for the rest.

That's all for this post; working on tweaking some controllers and they'll be thrown up in this thread shortly.

New additions. Not sure if the seal on Chrono Trigger is original or not, but hey, it's in good condition nonetheless.

A quick first attempt at replacing GameBoy cart labels. They definitely don't look retail quality at all; this was simply me taking some artistic liberties and seeing what I could come up with. I couldn't find out who made that Blastoise image but the Pikachu / Zelda symbol is concept art. If anyone wants the labels I can probably upload them to my box.

Any thoughts? I'm not too big when it comes to cartridge knowledge :P

Nice collection!  For cartridge labels, I use a silhouette portrait to cut the label paper to make perfectly rounded corners.    If your wife/gf/SO is into scrapbooking, get it for her, then use it for your games  ;)
I'm bender3455 on playstation network, feel free to add me!

Damn.  My wife has one of those.  I never even thought about using it.   :o
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

@bender3455: Brilliant!  I've been wracking my brain to figure out how to make a nice cutout for some repo's I want to make for my library.  I've never even heard of that thing before.

@Umbra, those look pretty good.  What kind of paper/glue did you use?

Sweet collection   ;)

One question though...  Where did you get those record sleeve sized frames?  Been looking for some for a while.

They look similar to ones I have.  I get mine from Jo-Anns.  Here's the web link, if you don't have a store near: http://www.joann.com/multipurpose-record-album-frame/1555887.html#q=record+frame&start=1

@Necreia: For the paper I just used regular label/sticker paper. Usually I'd go with the full-sheet sticker paper, but in this case I had some leftover floppy disc labels and we all know how often they'd be used :P

@Quazimoto: I got my record frames at the local Michael's craft store. They sell for roughly $10 apiece if I recall correctly.

Also, some new updates, since it's been a while.

Moved everything to another room, along with a new stand to hold everything. You may also notice that I upgraded my Xbox to a Gears of War-edition 360 S. I don't have the SNES on the shelf yet, partly due to lack of room, and partly because several games of mine don't look right on my TV anyway.
Also put all the main Final Fantasy games in a pretty PS2 box set on the shelf.

Inside of the TV stand. Collector's editions on the top shelf, and the bottom shelf is more or less the cartridge-based games and the PS1 stuff. Not really much to say.

I'm not quite sure where I'd put the SNES, and tbh I'm not entirely sure if it's even worth setting up since some games look all messed up due to the incompatibility with HDTV thing. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about, but if not I have pictures of the artifacting to demonstrate what I mean.
