fucking weak.  Guess I've got no excuse to not register everything at this point and just hope that they actually offer ANYTHING that I'd remotely want between now and shutdown :/

Wow this is sad. They prolly are thinking it doesn't help bring in profit.

Quite a deception this morning but at the same time, I wasn't too impressed with the offering lately. I wonder what the "new program" will be.

That is super weak. Pretty half assed "customer appreciation" by giving us a free copy of FlipNote

They're supposedly going to be adding a ton of physical rewards in February so people can use up their coins. Still, this deeply saddens me that this service is going away. But, I have high hopes for this new club.
My cover requests:

Jade Cocoon (PS1)
Shovel Knight (3ds/WiiU)

This would be great! I'd certainly cash in.  But I agree with everybody here that this is just sad, but here's high hopes for a better rewards program to come!

I just finally got around to registering stuff last year to get the points but there hasn't really been anything worth cashing in for anyway.  Hopefully they open up the vault to the Japanese Club Nintendo and let us order the same stuff as in there for the last days.  They have way more stuff than the North American Club has ever had.  I'm big time disappointed that it's closing but having a healthy Nintendo is more important to me than getting free stuff.  If this is what they need to do to stay afloat, I'm ok with it.  I don't see Sony or Microsoft with any similar program.

This is just BS. Even if they just switched to digital only, how hard is it to operate this?

Nintendo is really starting to piss me off lately.

Though they mentioned a "new customer loyalty program" I wonder what will replace this?

I'm very much looking forward to the new rewards program. Sure, Club Nintendo has had it's moments, but they have been increasingly few and far between, especially as of late.

So why are they closing it down to launch a different one?  Why not just revamp the current one, and transfer the points?
