That angle make the world of difference, they don't even look like the same cartridges. Usually it is easy to spot a fake with the left part of the label not being dark enough (showing up kind of gray) but this 2nd picture is much better. I take back my post about the authenticity :) EDIT: Why are the scuff marks not in the same place on both copies of Sapphire? Look at the Nintendo logo on Ruby for both pics, one the red from the frame blends in with the background while the other is pronounced with a darker color. Also, the first picture shown the bottom right corner of Ruby is peeling up while the 2nd picture it is firmly flat. I don't want to drag this topic through the mud BUT ... its a bit odd |

Yeah, I flattened it down for the re-shoot. Both lower corners were peeling up slightly, i firmly pressed them back down before taking the second picture. Like I said, lighting made a huge difference. The closeup of Ruby and Sapphire was taken in a bright room without a flash, while the pics of all four were taken in a dim room with the flash doing most of the work. That's why the label looked washed out, and the label flaws were heavily accented with a white glow. |
