I think, I bought a fake Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.  The thing arrived in the mail over the weekend. I noticed  the artwork looked a little faded. Thought someone left it in the sun, then I turn it over and notice the images on the back are a little blurry.

So I am pretty sure its a fake.  If someone has the real deal & wants to take a look at the photos. I would be pleased.

From what I see it looks nothing like the US version, or any released version. looking at gamefaqs.

That's really strange. it has to be a bootleg.

Here is a nice side by side for you

Front

Back (I included the UPC code he listed in the description as well)

I cant wait to see what the cart looks like, if you reside to open it. The differences are there. The ERSB rating, colors, the nintendo logo on the front bottom right, missing the WIFI logo. The backs completely different with a code that matches nothing.

I hope this helps in your case.

Looks like a re-release with new ERSB codes doesn't it?
2 + 3 = 23

Sent the seller a message about it not being an official Nintendo release.

I am sorta curious what the manual looks like, but don't want to open it in case the seller wants me to send it back.

Got the case escalated called ebay and they stated for me not to ship the item back. Unless he sends a shipping shipping label.

Also looks like hes selling some other fakes.

I believe you should get your money back, Ebay favors buyers. If you get to keep it you have to post pics of it running and the cart/manual.

This thing is still on going, ebay sent me a shipping label, now I have to wait for the seller to get it back, then I am sure hes just going to re-list it. At least I should get my money back.

In the end I did get my money back, and was able to get a real copy. Ebay had me send it back.  So I never got to see what the manual and game cart looked like.

Ebay can be a pretty cool place to shop but there's a-lot of shady sellers on there.

It was not the first fake i accidentally bought and probably wont be the last.

I had my fair share of issues with eBay. One that pissed me off a lot was when their stupid global shipping program swapped two labels. Instead of receiving my game, I received toy cars. Took me a full day on the phone and through emails to sort that out and I was kind enough to ship the item to the actual person that bought the cars. That person never received my game. Almost a month later, there was new movement on my game (new tracking number as well) and I eventually receive it.

That would have never happen if the seller would have shipped directly to me.

Then... a month later, I received an large box with two N64 that I never ordered. Another hour on the phone.. ebay had no clue how to find the sender. I sent it back to their hub with a note that it wasn't mine. The freaking hub send it back to me with a note telling me that if I send it back they would trash it. lol So I kept it ans I sold it.
