I've gotten games a variety of different ways, but recently I've struck on what seems to be a winning method. I have an older friend who drives A LOT for their job (they do contract work all around the region), and they routinely stop at garage sales, yard sales, trunk sales, boxes left on the side of the road with "free" written on the side etc. Now THEY are in it for old records, magazines, collectible toys, those kinds of things, but we have a standing agreement that if they see anything game-related they will text or call me, or if it's a good enough deal, just buy it then and there. And I then buy it off of them for a minuscule premium. Already it's worked out nicely once - I'll be posting later today in the pickups - and we'll see if this turns into an ongoing-ly good thing. Between Craigslist (which I increasingly hate), work associates, and family members getting rid of their stuff, my 'good deal' sources are getting harder and harder to use, and I don't want to trawl neighborhoods all day for no certain gain.

Short version: If you've got a friend that loves garage-saling and is good at it, they might be entirely happy to do all the work for you.

Until they realize how much they could make if they outright sold the stuff they find....... ;D
