Does it still run? 1 tail light 1 head light passenger side window hammer/heat gun out hood and fender paint battery (parked for 5 years) both rear view mirrors assuming under the hood is fine, not a terrible repair. would be street legal after putting in the lights and side window. --- End quote --- In idiotic Ohio, that thing is already street legal. There are ZERO vehicle inspection requirements. Like we don't even have vehicle inspection :P --- End quote --- Missouri has vehicle inspection, but it's a joke. Anything, and I mean anything will pass, but at least they get your $20. They also have emissions testing, but again, it's a joke. Any car older than 1990 (or some time around that) isn't required to take a test. And those are the cars that really need to be looked at. ::) Illinois doesn't have any type of inspection. We have emissions testing in my county, but diesels are excluded so my car gets a pass. ;) |

But is also a joke, they only check lights, nothing else. I can run with the car in that condition but if the police see me without those lights they will stop me but I won't get a ticket, I will have to pay them (for real, pay them, not the state, not the police, to the guy who stop me) to let me go, and if other police stop me is the same, telling me that I'm going to get a ticket or going to jail :P until I pay them |

But is also a joke, they only check lights, nothing else. I can run with the car in that condition but if the police see me without the those broken lights they will stop me and but I won't get a ticket, I will have to pay them (for real, pay them, not the state, not the police, to the guy who stop me) to let me go, and if other police stop me is the same, telling me that I'm going to get a ticket or going to jail :P --- End quote --- I hear driving in the Dominican Republic is pretty dangerous. I assume Oscar Taveras's death was a pretty big deal over there. It sure was here in St. Louis. :-[ I was at the game where he hit his last homer. |

I only said lights and windows because that's what any cop could find a reason to pull over. In Wisconsin, you can have a broken tail light (assuming it still lights up) you just need to cover it in red duck-tape. Cops will commonly pull people over for lights that are out, when bored. The window I have seen people rocking the duck-tape but again cops could call it obstructed view if they wanted to. It is street legal now but you risk getting pulled over here. we have emissions only in Wisconsin. cars over 10 years old don't have to take it. if it were me I would have never parked it. |
