I got 240 Club Nintendo points for $13 of eBay in preparation for February. hopefully there is some good stuff. I found 2 point cards I forgot to register and Matt has some. I'm at 630 without all that right now.
I'm going to pick up NES Remix pack and Kirby soon as well, and I have 20 extra for them from pre purchase servays.

I hope what replaces CN is basically the same thing.

I've never participated in Club Nintendo, but I went ahead and input all of my point cards after the news it's ending. A couple of my cards had expired already or had already been used (craigslist/ebay pick ups). I'm sitting at 800 points currently and waiting until February to see what comes up. I do plan on picking up NES Remix and Smash Bros so it seems like now is the time as I don't want to get caught out not having enough points if something cool comes out. I saw that the Luigi book end that came out a while back cost around 1500 points. I won't get that many points, but maybe I can get to over 900.

I don't understand why they wouldn't just revamp Club Nintendo unless they're hoping whatever new thing replaces it generates new interest. We'll see. Hopefully we can turn in the points for something nice come February.

Got two of these late December but it was late enough for me to totally forget to put them here.

Metal Gear Solid: Essential Collection (gift from a friend)
Ocarina 3D, MarioKart 7, Bravely Default

Trying to build up my 3DS collection since I've grown tired of modern consoles / PC and Pokemon X could only take me so far... :P

Also, as far as the Club Nintendo shutdown is concerned, I heard that just having 300 points by the end gives you a full game but they didn't say whether it was just a cheap virtual console game or an actual eShop title.

Got a 360 E system only off craigslist for $30 and got cables and power brick off ebay for $40. I have a bunch of extra controllers already so it's all set up and works great. Every room has a 360! Only bummer is the guy sprayed some weird gunk on the console that won't come off. I'm not sure what it is, but it works so it's no big deal.

It came with a 60gb hard drive that came from a fat model, but the guy took it out of the case to fit in the hdd slot.

So far I've only bought one game, but it was The Legendary Starfy for two bucks! Hopefully I'll come across more good deals soon (I'm about to go pawn shop-exploring, and the ones downtown usually have really great deals if you keep an eye open - I recall seeing DDRMax2 for a buck a few months back, in the case and everything, but I didn't buy it for some reason that made sense at the time)

I remember renting that game during the height of Jordan craze and being disapointed by how bad it was.  How could something featuring Jordan be so bad?  Little did I know of the oncomming storm known as Space Jam.

Based on what I've seen personally and what I've seen posted on my local retro gaming facebook page, you cannot enter a Goodwill in the St. Louis area without tripping over a pile of these (and yes, they are all sealed)  8)

5 to go...

Don't reach completion too fast, you'll have nothing else to collect after that :P

BTW, I removed my first block buster sticker today on a N64 game. Not sure how you removed yours, but I use the single "tool" I had... a lighter :)
Just a few seconds of heating a few inches from the label, then it peeled of like a charm. Quite surprising what can be done with the right tools/technique.

Don't worry, there is always something else to collect. ;)
