Who's up for a Mario Kart lan party ?  :D

I've been planning one for quite awhile now.

- 8 GameCubes = got them
- 8 LAN Adapters = got them
- 8 Copies of Mario Kart Double Dash = got them
- 16 Controllers = got them
- 8 memory cards with 100% cleared game = got them
- 8-way router = got it
- 8 Ethernet cables cables = got them
- 8 Televisions = got them
- Space to set up the things = got it
- Power for the set up = got it

- 16 players... never in the same place at ones!

How far from St. Louis?  I'm on my way. ;)
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Found an N64 with all wires and 2 controllers (one official, one not) and Breath of Fire IV at a local thrift!  N64 was $15 and breath of Fire was $3 (after 25% discount sale)

Also found an official Sony White Vertical PS4 stand on Amazon for $20

I can set them up next summer when I have my summer vacation.

Best time to visit Finland is Summer and thus I'm aiming towards Juhannus which this year is 19th (BBQ at lake side, year's heaviest drinking and thus most likely day of drowning) and 20th of June (actual Juhannus, pretty much same as 19th except most idiots have already drowned).

Everyone who is crazy enough can join in.

Sadly, as fun as a weekend of Mario Kart sounds, I don't think its worth the several grand this would cost.

It would cost me 1603.59 CAD from Montréal to Jyväskylä and the flight back home.
It's not that bad, but still more expensive than VPN and Skype :)

Actually probably quite much less as I don't live in Jyväskylä, but near Lappeenranta.

You'd need to fly to Helsinki in take train to Lappeenranta.

Cheapest flight was 756 Euros (1053.64 CAD) total both ways Montreal - Helsinki - Montreal) but because stupid long wait trip here was 21 hours).

Better flight with travel time of 11.5 hours was 913 Euros (1272.45 CAD).

Montreal to here June 18th, back June 26th.

The cost of the flight is one thing.  Lodging is another.  Unless Arseen is letting everyone crash at his place. ;)

Had a Fred Meyer gift card so NES Remix was free, $20 for FF-X/ FF-X2. it is my first time playing these two games.  Then the last Ibara.  One of the best Cave shmups ever.  This is a game I have been after for about 4 years but was willing to pay the asking price of $150ish.  Got it off the Shmups forum from a guy selling it for $85.  The best part is I found out he live about 6 blocks from me so local meetup and saved on shipping!!  It looks like the guy oened it up right before handing it to me.  This shit is beyond mint.
