Trying to find a plastic belt buckle to go on my leather belt. Metal detector at wotk requires us to remove belt about 4 or more times a day. Can't stand it. Can't find a plastic buckle anywhere. All I can find is ones that look like backpack straps. I just want a regular leather belt with a plastic buckle instead of metal. The only other idea I have is a 3D printer.

How much would someone charge me to print a plastic belt buckle?

We have two at the shop actually, and a laser cutter (which is prolly better suited to what you're after. Stronger parts. Printed parts are sorta weak sauce).

If you've got a cad file, then I'm sure I can get it done. We haven't been running them all that much lately.

Cool. Thanks! I don't know how to make a CAD file or have any art skills, but I'll see if I can find one.

I did try shapeways, but they don't have any plain buckles like this,

http://straitcity.com/detail/simple_heel_bar_belt_buckle_gray_399.html

But in plastic. Can't see the second link, because the wifi I'm using right now blocks it as "shopping".

Wiggy, if I mail you my old metal buckle, would that work in liu of a CAD?
