Do You Put Your Games In Alphabetical Order?

You're kidding?  We got about 4 different grids with sms, and then a few non grid releases thrown in to mess it up further.  Then activision decided they didn't want a white grid, so they made rampage red, and some others black.

So, basically, no one believed in uniformity, and everyone wanted to be a special snowflake. Well, at least companies don't do that now.

Unless you count Platinum hits, or the new Mario games, or the one Luigi variant, or Greatest Hits...

No company ever believed in uniformity, apparently. They always have to have their stand out titles.

And let's not forget the rebrands they do half way through a consoles life.  My PS3 collection really irks me. Lol

That's exactly why I don't buy GreatestHits or other variants.  And for the unavoidable ones, like Mario Wii, or Mario Kart 8, I just buy replacement shells and (if needed) grab a uniform cover off of TCP.  For the times when you find a rare or unique game that is a Greatest Hits, Platinum, etc, I typically just order a black label (or the system equivalent) authentic cover from offline.

The only one I have found that is truly a mess is PS3...and I only have a handful for that system anyway, so it doesn't bother me as much as others.  360 at least modified theirs to go from white with light green stripes to just white - something you have to squint in order to see.

I say 'usually' because I recently experimented with just keeping series together, with no regard for system. It looks kinda terrible (because it LOOKS unsorted), but it's also cool seeing, say, all the Castlevania games in one place. Sorting by series also underscores just how many Mario and Final Fantasy games there are though :\

I have thought about doing this because I would love to see all of my Halo games from all three Xbox systems together and Mario's etc. The main thing keeping me from doing it is my HD systems are in the living room and the retros are in a separate room, I don't want to go into a different room to grab a game to play. I'm sure I would not like the way it looks and separate them by system again anyway.
