| Should I get Gaia Seed on PSX? (I have it on PSN) |

I have been playing Gaia Seed on PSN a lot. I love my shoot em ups. But Gaia Seed is special to me. It really has a unique feel, and I love the music. And no matter how much I love the game on PSN, is it weird that I really want to collect it bad? It's almost 200 online and there aren't that many sites who sell the game. But make no mistake, I really want to collect this game even though I have it on PSN. Do any of you ever buy expensive games that you know you can already play? There's just something about having it that makes me content. |

I have 900+ physical games. Well over 90% could easily be emulated with minor to zero issues. That same well over 90% could be collapsed purely onto the Everdrives and other flash carts that I already own with minor to zero issues. I'd venture a guess you and I are not the only ones who enjoy collecting even when there's little to no logical reason to collect. If you can afford it (truly afford it - try real hard to stay away from credit card financing your hobbies, it leads down a bad path I find), and it makes you happy, do it. At least that's my take on the situation. |

But GAIA Seed, there's just something really charming about this game. I never grew up with it nor knew about it. But it has that ''feel,'' it gives me the chills even though it's an old game that is still technically new to me. It's special and I can't explain it. Yea I won't credit card finance it, I'm gonna sell a few things and try to get it soon though. You're right. There is no logical reason to have this game. I can justify it to myself but not to others. I realize that but I was making a list of the games for all systems I'm interested in and this one was the top one even though it's more expensive than the others. I'd rather have this shoot em up then 4 average shmups, just because it has a rare, unorthodox and unique feel. It's almost like I just want to collect it because I already play it on PSN. It may look different on the standard def though, but it's really more to own. Do you technically own everything on PS3 forever or can it be taken away? |
