Remastered/remakes games releases what your opinion regarding them

In the past, it made sense to have a sports game come out each year so that they could update team rosters, new teams, etc.  However, today it seems like all of that could be covered in what would probably be considered the most appropriate use of DLC. 

A good example would be the NASCAR games.  These days, drivers and sponsors change so much, the games are months out of date by the time they are released.

Well at least they all drive literally the exact same car, so as long as you can tolerate the color palette and sponsor graphic changes, you should be ok as a NASCAR fan

Don't forget about the drivers sponsered by beer companies.  They always had to do something with the dirver's name in the same font and color of the beer company logo.  I understand why they did that, but I always hated it.

I like that Resident Evil is gonna be cheap (I think I saw $20) and the collections like Halo are cool too. I just hate the last gen upgrades like GTA V and Last of Us, there's no need for a rerelease on those already unless it's in a collection or cheap, not at full price again.

Agree but to be fair the GTA V remake added a ton of new missions/ content.  Also it added the FPS view.  They added a shit ton of detail.  that is fully worth the $60 price tag.

I bought some.  I rebought DMC, Tomb Raider and GTA V all on Xbone.  Worth every penny.  I have a bunch on ps3 also such as Jack& Daxter, Sly series, God of War, ICO/ Shadow of the Colossus.

But stretching back several years for a single game? If Sony was seriously wanting to give fans something to get excited about then they should have put every single God of War game on one disc, not just the last chapter in the series.

I quite like the HD collections that were released on the PS3 seem like you were getting value for your money as the collections contain around 2-3 games on the disc for $40. Where the remaster releases this generation are around $40-$60 for one game. I would not be surprised if Sony releases the God of war 1 and 2 remaster later on this year.

If I remember correctly there was a GoW release that had the first 2 or 3 on disk and DLC codes for the 2 PSP games.  I think it came out about 2 years ago?

That would be re-remaster, so probably no go there.

Yeah, I would not be surprised if Sony somehow re-released the God of war 1 and 2 in near future for the PS4 like how the Resident Evil was released.

They announced a remake of Borderlands,..even though it still looks good, but the new Odd World Abe's Oddysee New n' Tasty remake is amazing, I hope he does Abe's Exodus and Much's Oddysee.
