Here's my current Amiibo status:

WAVE 1 - Complete!

WAVE 2 - Have all except:
-Little Mac -- on back-order from Entertainment Earth

WAVE 3 - Have all except:
-Sheik -- just got an email saying it will ship soon from Amazon
-King Dedede -- pre-ordered on Entertainment Earth
-Ike, Sonic, Mega Man -- have a pre-order card from TRU, last I heard they'll be in on 2/13
-Shulk, Meta Knight -- have Japanese versions on pre-order from Big Bad Toy Store

Waiting on Wave 4 pre-orders. Pre-ordered Toad from Amazon (not interested in the other SM line amiibo).

Regarding the Gold and Silver Mario amiibos, it occurs to me that there sort of is a precedent for their existence in the form of Gold Mario (NSMB2) and Metal Mario (64, SSB)

I just got a text message to pick up my Shulk Amiibo from Gamestop on Wednesday. I called the store about it and they said that it is supposed to be there but to double check with them ahead of time. Just giving everyone a heads up

Toon Link and Shiek are in the same box, so yay to finally getting those.

Shulk is likely thursday.

I didn't preorder Sheik I have one already. I only preordered Shulk

Well perhaps my store will too. I see Toon Link and Shiek are labeled ships in 24 hours on gamestop.com

The one I'm worried about is Meta Knight, My GAME back up is gone and I'm a little weary about Best Buy, and that my order has 3. I did do it the first day, so I probably wont get shafted by lack of stock.

I also got my WalMArt order in with 3a, another store shipping Amiibos in the Nintendo manufacturer box.
I'm starting to feel like a scalper with all these spares.

Completes my planned Amiibos for a while at 4 (Link, Zelda, Toon Link and Sheik )

Stashing away $ for the inevitable Zelda WiiU line that'll come out and/or Hyrule Warriors line.

If anyone needs a US Rosalina, I might have an extra (waiting to hear if a co-worker still needs it)

Zelda U will probably use the smash ones, it's hard to say. For functionality, all Links will be the same, like with Mario.

Data can only be held from one game though. If you want a Link with SSB data, you'll have to buy a 2nd Link for Zelda U (if there is a use to hold data) <--then Nintendo will probably make a Zelda line. If amiibos will be used to unlock stuff like in HW & MK8, then I agree that they'll stick with the Smash ones.

Does anyone know of an action figure clamshell that would fit the in box Amiibos to protect them? I've been searching but I can't find any. Hopefully someone can make one soon

just a heads up for people, bestbuy.Com has peach, Yoshi, and donkey kong for $9.99.  If you have the gamers club unlocked membership it brings it down to 7.99 each.  It's a shame it's only those 3 but still, a few bucks saved is a few bucks extra towards something else lol
