My Target had 28 Roselinas, 4 Sheiks, around 16 Toon Links, and a whole lotta Bowser. 2 per customer.
I got there 15 minutes early, there were 5 other guys and 2 mothers, one with her daughter.
I have the others on Preorder, so I made sure the other people got wheat they wanted first. 2 of the Sheiks whent home with the 2 mothers. Had some good chats about Amiibos, and told the moms about the others they were looking for, The little girl was very knowledgeable, and I think going for a complete set. She ordered a Marth from japan. The other mom had 2 or 3 she was buying for.
Everyone walked away happy, except for the employees who are now having to deal with the flood of people calling in to ask them to hold Roselina and company.
On my way out, the mom with her daughter was going back for Bowser, I was about to return mine so they could have it, but they had plenty in stock.
There was a guy lingering, wondering what was going on. After I paid I went to look at the Amiibo wall and he asked me if they were rare or something, and what they did. I filled him in a little, and mentioned scalpers and how stores are imposing limits to stop them. He seemed OK, but was still hovering when I left, checking his phone. There is a 2 per person limit anyway, if he was thinking of doing it.
Thanks to my mom driving me so I did not have to take the bus.
