I've heard that these aren't locked street dates, but ETAs given to GameStop employees.

Welcome to the club! I regret to inform you that as far as I know, there is no cure for your new disease. Just try to make the best of it!

You already own more amiibo than I do! I'm rather quite selective/picky. However, I plan on picking up 6 amiibo from the new, soon-to-be-released wave.

Also, regarding the aluminium tape, it does suck, but it's entirely necessary for Nintendo to do so. If they didn't put that in there, far too many people would buy them, scan them in for the unlockable content, then return them. I wish that there was a way to remove the amiibo from the box without damaging it, like a flap with a seal that you can cut or remove.

Other than the using and returning of them, why do you like it?

I see no reason to like it even with that opinion stated above. Because who cares? It's not it's going to keep me from unlocking the stuff in my game.

A friend randomly sent me a couple. They're in a bag, under my desk now with random loot crate stuff that I don't want.  I just can't get into these. I seriously don't get the appeal other than the artificially low supply (I.e. hype).  Having to fight to get a hugely mass-produced product like this right when it launches is also BS.
