Looks like I'll have to be picky on amiibo after Smash Bros. So did I understand correctly that characters that are repeats like Mario and Yoshi will work the same as their other amiibo figurine counterparts? So MP10 Mario can be an amiibo fighter on SSB and SSB Mario will work in MP10?

I believe so, The difference is (I think) that the game data for each amiibo will only save for one game: meaning you can have 1 Mario amiibo that you level up in smash bros OR 1 Mario that can have some sort of saved data on MP10. Both Smash edition and Super Mario editions will give you in-game rewards like weapons in Hyrule Warriors and racing suits in MK8 but 1 amiibo can only hold data for 1 game...I think I made sense lol

Yeah that sounds about right. I just want to know why they can't give us an option to somehow backup our Amiibo Data to the Wii U or 3DS so that we can restore it back to the Amiibo whenever we want to use it for that specific game again rather than erase it completely. I guess it's just Nintendos way of making more $$$

Well Pokémon seems like a given. Maybe Zelda. I'd hope to see more Donkey Kong characters too. I hope they get some for more peripheral Mario characters like Waluigi, Daisy and Professor E. Gadd in some form. I don't usually customize, but I may have to pick up an extra Yoshi - I have a hankering to make a custom Boshi from Mario RPG. 

Also, received my UK Pit today and it's very nice! I have to say I like the packaging numbering each amiibo.

Ohhh Boshi!! I've been thinking about making one from scratch, to portray my Villager amiibo in Smash Bros (I use the pink haired female). There's a trophy of her riding Lloid the gyroid.

Rosleina, Wario and DK Mario Amiibo are probably coming. Images are seen of them in game in Mario Party.

I'll probably only get Toad, and wait for the rest to go on sale (I'm probably lying to myself).
Though Browser looks better than the smash one. I have enough sets of Mario figures though.
I hope they make Animal Crossing Amiibo. Pokemon had some for Rumble a while ago.

I'm really digging the look of the Super Mario series Bowser. Also hoping to see a traditional Wario in that series. Donkey Kong and Rosalina Super Mario amiibo were spotted in the trailer, but I sadly didn't even see a playable Wario character.

Not sure what I think about the choice of Red for Ness, but I'll probably pick it up anyway.

Now that they are releasing amiibo based on other games/series, it seems like they are ensuring that the characters are designed to be firmly attached to the base.

Maybe Ness' red packaging is a reference to the Mother series having a red background?

Apparently some people are reporting TRUs are going to have a stock of Pit and Falcon on the 15th.

There were only 3 Pits and 9 Captain Falcon at my TRU and there were 2 other guys who waited outside the door with me to get Pit. We all 3 got 1 Pit and 1 Captain Falcon! I was third and got the last Pit and it was detached from the base and upside down in the box but super glue will fix that I guess!
