Just wait... Sony will paint them a new color and stick a ball on top to make it original like they did to the Wiimotes!  ;D

I have them all so far (as well as Wave 2 & 3 preordered) and I love them. It gives me that nostalgia feel that I had since the first smash bros always wanting a toy of these figures when I was younger and being able to hold those trophies in my hand. The only thing Nintendo needs to figure out IMO now is a way to backup the data of our Amiibos so we can use them on different games that need to save to it when they come out and restore them when we want to use them with other games. However I have a feeling that'll never happen and we'll have to buy more than one of particular figures in different poses like the one that was on Nintendo Europe's site under the Mario Kart heading:

I'm starting to get a little nervous. I was recently perusing the amiibo on Amazon.ca, and noticed that you can no longer pre-order Little Mac. Thankfully I pre-ordered one, but it wasn't all that long ago... I hope they have enough for me!

Speaking of amiibo being sold out, Nintendo REALLY needs to get their act together regarding informing people about the availability of these things. There have been so many mixed messages from different branches of Nintendo about whether or not amiibo have been discontinued.

In my stubborn refusal to let this thread disappear off the front page, I have some important news for Canadian customers: Meta Knight is now available for pre-order on bestbuy.ca!

Haly sheet! Sorry for the double post, but this is urgent news for those interested. Big day for amiibo!

I had read a post on the Canadian CAG website about Nintendo possibly removing the street date for the latest wave (originally set to be December 12th), so I popped into Wal-Mart at 7:30 this morning on my way to work, and lo and behold, they have two Little Macs and two Diddy Kongs out on the shelf.

I grabbed myself a Little Mac to ensure I that would have one. I contemplated getting Diddy Kong as well, as he looks very cool despite the orange stand, but I talked myself down off of that ledge.

I have read that the Gamestop Exclusive Shulk will be pre order only.  Then all others will be opened and sold "used" at a marked up price.  Sort of like they did with Xenoblade.  Just a rumor, but I would not put it past them.

Don't tell me your getting 7 full sets.   ;D

I'm thinking of making some display based on staged from the game, or the trophy hoard.

Just two but I couldent resist ordering a bunch since they're a best buy exclusive. I also preordered 6 Shulk from GameStop I'm missed lucairo tho. I had to buy a second sealed bundle since the first one I bought came damaged in shipping. Ebay let me keep it and gave me a refund :) I just bought a second mint one to grade. I'm to lazy to post pics it's on Instagram if you wanna see.

I'm just waiting for Shulk to go up for pre-order in Canada. I check several times a day. If and when he goes live, I'll be sure to post an announcement here, so that N64 Guy can order 36 of them.  ;D

In case you forgot, he's already available for pre-order in America.

I still need to preorder one for Arseen.
I'll probably do it after art class.

I'm starting to hate exclusives an Limited Edition things.
Just release it so whoever wants it can buy it. Why have it sell out months before it's even out. And all it does is bread people who buy out the entire stock to price gouge on eBay, taking it out of the hands of people who just want it, and forcing people to hoard to make sure they can get it. It's like a mini Black Friday.

  :(

Demand for the rarer amiibo would not be outweighing the stock if only collectors and people who actually wanted them were the ones who were buying them. If opportunists didn't see amiibo as a chance to make money by reselling them, they wouldn't be nearly as hard to find. I like to believe this, anyway.

Also, I am a weak man. Popped into the Wal-Mart again on my way to work this morning, thinking that if they had a Diddy Kong left, I would purchase it. I really quite liked the look of that figure, minus the yellow stand (which isn't very noticeable). At first, it looked as though he was sold out. However, I found one tucked behind a Kirby figure. I took this as a sign, and purchased it immediately. So now I have two amiibo.
