@Fritz, so... how many Diddy Kongs you get?  ;D

In real news, My Luigi shipped from Toys R Us, servicing the great preorder purge, and my Little Mac shipped from Wal Mart. I have the rest of my wave 2 there, as well as an extra Cap. Falcon from TRU's eBay, I just got to wait fro them to ship.

My local stores have a bunch of Zelda, and not much else. Target had a sign about Luigi, the same "Not here, buy any other fro $12.99" (Like that is a deal and not retail price.).

That was awesome, Fritz! Hilarious, but also rather unsettling, because it could totally happen.

I am hesitant to continue this topic through the thread as I'd hate to see it turn into a debate about reselling (it used to be about the amiibo!), but hey, resellers are a part of the amiibo culture, unfortunately. They are undoubtedly affecting the availability of these things for people who are genuinely interested in owning the product. I've always loathed the practices of resellers because I see them as selfish and opportunistic as they try to take advantage of regular folk.

Whoa now, put down your pitchforks for just a moment. I'm not against all forms of reselling. As Megatron mentioned, he often buys things in lots and sells off the remainders -- that's totally understandable. I doubt he goes into that deal thinking he's going to resell everything at ridiculously inflated prices. He initially buys it for what he needs, not for what he can take from others. If someone happens to see two Marths on a shelf and buys them both with the intention of trading one to someone else for another amiibo that they can't find, that's cool too. Again, their intentions revolve around what they need they and not what they can take from others. A person who buys multiple copies of limited edition games or collectibles for the express purpose of selling them at ridiculous prices, well now those people are only interested in what they can take from others.

I came a little late to the game but just ordered my first 8.

Donkey Kong, Fox, Kirby, Link, Peach, Pikachu, Samus and Yoshi.

I don't suppose anyone has an extra Marth, Villager or Wii Fit Trainer available?  Or maybe point me in the direction of one other than Ebay. Thanks.

Welcome, Epitomalist! It seems like you are endeavouring to score a complete set there. Best of luck on your quest! We'll help you out if we can.

I also appreciate your putting those amiibo in alphabetical order.

Just one final thought on the matter - you're right, it's all about HOW to resell.  And honestly, it's not even re selling that bugs me, it's scalping.  Which is exactly what is happening with these things.

That said, I FINALLY found a Link in the wild!  So now I have Link and Zelda, with my other 4 (toon link, shiek, Mega Man, Meta Knight) pre ordered and waiting.  This will probably be the end for me.  Until they release Ganondorf anyway.   And honestly, if Meta Knight becomes a super rare figure, I'll probably just get rid of mine.  I got it because it looks cool, but I'd hate for someone who is collecting them all to not have one so mine can collect dust.

Thanks, but it's not really original. I modified a post from a bodybuilding forum to fit this subject. Glad you got a laugh.

I went ahead and preordered 8 of the 10 amibos from wave 3, all except for rosalina and lucario. Preorders seem to be sold out for those.

So now the amiibos I need to complete my set are

Captain Falcon
Diddy Kong
Little Mac
Luigi
Pit

and wave 3
Lucario
Rosalina

On the brighter side I got my smash bros GameCube controller from walmart.com and my GameCube adapter for wii U I snagged from gamestop.com a couple weeks ago is going to arrive in the mail Monday :)

OOOooo and the Nintendo vendor at the store I work for gave me a gold Super Smash Bros coin and a black amiibo Lanyard to wear at work.

I got Captain Falcon last night from Target and then about the 3rd Lamestop I called had 1 Pit that was a canceled preorder. I'm so glad I preorded the rest and don't have to deal with this crazy hunting anymore.
Snes is Best.

I think you will see more Jan since Nintendo is most likely preparing a shipment of them.

too bad they revised what their site as a mistake, and it wont work on all games as a pro-controller.

Agreed. I was really looking forward to Hyrule Warriors or Wind Waker HD with the good old GCN controller.
