That was awesome, Fritz! Hilarious, but also rather unsettling, because it could totally happen.
I am hesitant to continue this topic through the thread as I'd hate to see it turn into a debate about reselling (it used to be about the amiibo!), but hey, resellers are a part of the amiibo culture, unfortunately. They are undoubtedly affecting the availability of these things for people who are genuinely interested in owning the product. I've always loathed the practices of resellers because I see them as selfish and opportunistic as they try to take advantage of regular folk.
Whoa now, put down your pitchforks for just a moment. I'm not against all forms of reselling. As Megatron mentioned, he often buys things in lots and sells off the remainders -- that's totally understandable. I doubt he goes into that deal thinking he's going to resell everything at ridiculously inflated prices. He initially buys it for what he needs, not for what he can take from others. If someone happens to see two Marths on a shelf and buys them both with the intention of trading one to someone else for another amiibo that they can't find, that's cool too. Again, their intentions revolve around what they need they and not what they can take from others. A person who buys multiple copies of limited edition games or collectibles for the express purpose of selling them at ridiculous prices, well now those people are only interested in what they can take from others.
