Retro Deckades:

Speaking of hard to find characters, has anyone seen Pit on any store shelves yet?

My Best Buy didn't have any, but they had a place for him, ie a rack with his name on it.  He is the only 2nd wave Amiibo besides Zelda to have his own "label".  Not sure if that means anything, but it stood out.

My target store had spots for every wave 2 amiibo, but only had Zelda.

Gotcha.  Didn't mean to offend, but that sort of large quantity purchase stands out when some of these things may be very rare.  Re-selling doesn't bother me when you sell stuff you find. Hell, i sell about half of my pickups because I buy "lots" where I already own a bunch of the items.  But this is a little different.  I don't really collect these, but if I have collected other things where I found out people buy 10+ because they will be "less common".  What it can do is really screw the rest of people.

Again, not knocking you or what you're doing.  Your money, you buy what you want.  I would just point out that when you announce grabbing a high amount of a hard to find character when others on here are desperately trying to find one, it can look kinda bad.  And yes, I know these characters aren't sold out everywhere yet, but let's be honest -if Diddy Kong is hard to find,  these two WILL be hard to find characters.

Reselling is a touchy subject. I recall my trip to Walmart a few weeks ago when the first wave was released.

I got wind early on that these Amiibos may become a thing and that it might be prudent to stock up on them to resell to make some extra Xmas cash. As I walked into my local Walmart with the hope of scoring a few, I approached a young pimple faced employee opening a cardboard box marked Nintendo near the gaming aisle. Success. I smiled in anticipation and reveled in my good luck to come at just the right time for the first shipment.

But something drew my immediate disgust. There was someone else watching as MY box was being opened. None other than a WOMAN, for God's sake! I lumbered over to the employee, glared at the woman standing near and snarled "Get the **** out of here, Jezebel!". "I-I'm here to buy a Christmas gift for my grandson...who the hell.." she stammered. "NOW, You INFIDEL!!", I screamed, and smacked her hard across the face, sending her to the ground. My steel-toed drill boot came crashing into her ribs, sending her flying a safe distance away. No more meddling- I wouldn't have my gaming warrior spirit softened by some wench if I could help it- no, BY GOD!

As the bewildered employee lifted the flap of the box I screamed and descended down upon it, scooping up all of the figures in one fell swoop and subsequently evading several tearful distraught children. After checking out at the register, I slowly backed away from the scene, then decided it was best to vacate the premises- after all, a grandma had been assaulted and there were witnesses- and a police car had pulled up to the front of the store. I quickly made my way to a rear fire escape exit, made it out the back, and fled, laughing! Got to look out for number one, baby!

Anyone questioning the morality of cleaning out the supply of these, just remember, I'm using the $ to fund my collection so it's fine.

Arseen:

Quite good imagination you got there Fritz. ;D
